FIFA World Cup Draw Results- Where is Canada?

Hello Canadian Soccer Fans,

Fresh off the team’s historic run winning the CONCACAF Tournament.  Finishing just ahead of Mexico with a higher goal differential.  Team Canada fell 5 spots (38th) in the FIFA Rankings after loses to Costa Rica and Panama during the final round of games, as they pushed hard to try and move into the Group 3 – Bucket.

After the FIFA World Cup drawings witnessed by millions of Soccer crazed fans across the world.  Canada finds themselves in Group F alongside (Belgium #2 Ranked, Croatia #16 & Morocco #24).  In 2018, Belgium finished in third place beating England (2-0) and Croatia finished second place losing to France (4-2) in the Finals at World Cup (Russia).

Belgium and Croatia will be armed with a lot of experience in Group F making it hard for Canada to qualify for the Group Stages.  However, Canada will bring a youthful exuberance, pace, and an attacking style of Soccer against a couple of older more methodical teams.  Morocco will be no pushover either as they are fourteen spots higher than Canada in the FIFA rankings.

Due to Covid, Canada has not played any teams outside of the CONCACAF division in over two years.  I am sure they will be setting up friendlies against teams with similar style of plays of the other teams in their group, in anticipation for the Tournament in November.

Canada’s Group F Games are scheduled as follows:
November 23rd Vs Belgium
November 27th Vs Croatia
December 1st Vs Morocco

I can’t wait to see how this team performs against the best in the World.

Win, lose or draw this will be amazing experience for this young squad going into the next World Cup in 2026 – which will be hosted by Canada/USA & Mexico.

It will be tough however Canada has a legitimate chance to make it out of this group.

Go Canada Go!!!
