WHAT JUST HAPPENED!?- Every single person watching the Oscars right now. In case you are reading it here first…Will Smith just punched Chris Rock in the face live on stage at the Oscars! Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith (who is rocking a buzz cut lately) starring in G.I. Jane 2… which then prompted Smith to storm the stage and slap Rock directly in the jaw. The audience was stunned with a few laughs scattered in for those who thought it was a bit. Once Smith began to scream at Rock on stage it became very clear that it was indeed not a joke. I am still stunned. I cannot believe what I just witnessed. The internet is in shock. Is Will Smith okay? Pinkett- Smith has spoken out about suffering from alopecia which is why she keeps her hair short. Could Chris Rock have known that? Possibly. Did it require a reaction that included physical violence on live television? Absolutely not. I intended to write an article about how awkward the Oscars were this year. I was keeping a list of all of the awkward and strange encounters of the night… and then that happened. So, needless to say I threw that list out. The night continued to be incredibly interesting when Will Smith took home the Oscar for Leading Actor. The actor made a tearful speech…that was a little scattered and didn’t make much sense. This whole encounter is making us all wonder, Will, are you okay?
