NCAA Basketball – March Madness – Canada’s Got Talent

Hello NCAA Basketball Fans,

March Madness has delivered an action packed first week. We have seen an abundance of close games, buzzer beaters and upsets like we always do. Many household names have delivered as expected, before taking that next step into professional basketball and we have some feel-good stories of lesser-known players who may be enjoying their last dance. Just to put it into context, 98% of players will be hanging up their shoes after College. Only 2% earn an opportunity to take it to that next stage – elevating to the NBA or other professional leagues across the world.

Canada is one of those hot spots over the last decade that have seen an enormous spike in talent. Grassroots Basketball in Canada has come a long way. Coaching, training, development and most importantly the infrastructure, providing opportunity and a platform for our youth to showcase and develop their skills, is now securely in place. It is still growing, enhancing, and allowing our young men and young women to blossom.

In the NCAA men’s tournament championship, here are four of Canada’s most talented student athletes, marching their way into the Sweet 16 with their respective Basketball programs:
Bennedict Mathurin
Arizona Wildcats ~ G-F ~ #0

Zach Edey
Purdue Boilermakers ~ C ~ #15

Andrew Nembhard
Gonzaga Bulldogs ~ G ~ #3

Join me in showcasing our Canadian pride and cheer on these four young men as they strive to help their teams win the National College Basketball Championship.

I see Andrew Nembhard and the Gonzaga Bulldogs playing Bennedict Mathurin and the Arizona Wildcats in the finals on April.4th at the Ceasars Superdome in New Orleans.

Now that you have had an opportunity to watch some of the games this year. Who do you have making it to the finals?
