Gluten Free KFC Copycat Chicken Sandwich Recipe

The hardest thing about eating a gluten free diet is realizing that everything delicious has flour in it. We have to work harder than the regular joe to find alternative ways to eat our favourite things in a gluten free version. If you’ve been craving that salty savoury KFC chicken I have the perfect gluten free KFC copycat chicken recipe fo you!


Serves 2

  • 2 Chicken breast, thinned out
  • 2 tbsp of Mayo
  • 2 cups of gluten free bread crumbs (I use this kind: 
  • 1 tsp garlic power
  • 1tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp lemon pepper 
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1/4 tsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • salt and peper to taste
  • Air fryer


  1. Preheat Air Fryer to 390 
  2. Thin out meat with meat tenderizer (to about half an inch)
  3. Place all dry ingredients in a bowl and mix 
  4. Coat both side of chicken in mayo and dip in dry mixture, making sure to fully coat chicken
  5. Cook chicken in Air Fryer for 10 minutes on 390. After 10 minutes, flip chicken and cook for another 5. 
  6. Serve on its own or under a gluten free bun
