Star Wars fans got a dose of nostalgia this morning when Disney+ released the latest trailer for the upcoming series Obi-Wan Kenobi. We are going to see the return of many beloved characters and the actors who previously portrayed them. Such as Ewan McGregor returning as Obi-Wan, Joel Edgerton as Uncle Owen and of course Hayden Christensen will be reprising his role as Darth Vader.
Entertainment Weekly gave fans an exclusive first-look at Christensen’s Vader in their latest cover story on the Disney+ series. Will we see a deeper development into the character of Darth Vader? More importantly, will we get a glimpse of Vader sans helmet? “His shadow is cast across so much of what we do,” series writer Joby Harold teases. ” “And the degree of his proximity to that shadow is something that we’ll discover. But he is very much a part of the show emotionally for Obi-Wan, and possibly beyond that as well.”
This may be Disney+’s most anticipated series yet. With the trailer reaching almost 8 million views on Youtube 24 hours after its release.
Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres May 25 on Disney+, 45 years after the release of the first Star Wars film in 1977.
